My God Is Powerful | Exodus 14:21

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to this week’s message: My God Is Powerful

Text: “The Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the KORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind, and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided.” Exodus 14:21 New International Version

Complete trust lies at the heart of the relationship that God desired to have with the Israelites. He wanted the people to trust Him in every situation that they would ever face. This level of trust would require more than words, but real actions.

The Israelites may have been focusing on the dangers that they were facing in this passage, (Egyptian army behind them, the mountains around them, and the Red Sea in front of them). But, I believe that God saw it differently: a perfect opportunity to show the Israelites that: Their God Is Powerful.

I invite you to consider the difficult situations that you are facing today, or may soon face in the future. Perhaps the doctor has given you some bad news, your marriage has taken a turn for the worse, or your financial condition has desperately worsened. Following the example of this passage, I want to encourage you with the reminder that God sees every danger we face not only as such, but as an opportunity to show us His might and power. Then, as we see and experience God in action, each and everyone is able to say with firm conviction: My God Is Powerful.

May God bless you.
